Mosaic knitting is simple once you get the hang of it. In this class, we will begin with
some tips and tricks about color for all of your projects, as well as mosaic knits. We will
then proceed to learn mosaic knitting. You will end up with a sample which you can
unravel or keep. Sharon From Security might even chew on it if you ask nicely. We will
base this sample on the “Another Brick in the Shawl” pattern which uses three colors.
Materials
50 yards of three contrasting colors in DK weight yarn. White and a bright are good for
learning, plus a third color. Please no black, variegated or speckled.
US 5 or 6 needle, 24” or longer.
You may purchase the “Another Brick in the Shawl” pattern if you like, but you do not
need it for the class, as we will not be casting on. We will also be able to help you pick
colors for it if you like.
