6-8-11-2023 Summer Knitting Retreat @Lambuth Inn, Lake Junaluska with Marin Melchior

Our retreat includes all food, room (if signed up for a room) and classes. Price is per person. Check in will be on Thursday @4pm and dinner is served from 5:30-7:00pm.
Buffets are served. Breakfast 7:30-9:00am, Lunch 12:00-1:30pm, Dinner 5:30-7:00pm.
Summer Retreat June 8-11, 2023
Vendors will be open Saturday 10-5. Complete vendor list will be posted in May.
Friends & Fiberworks (mobile unit as a vendor), will be open for multiple hours every day during the retreat We will have all yarns needed to complete all classes and knit a longs for sale at the retreat.
A private shopping experience at FFW Saturday 6:30-8:30pm.
Trunk show with Miss Babs and Queen City Yarn.
Emre Koc owner or Urth Yarns will be with us all weekend with a trunk show and a special unveiling of a FABULOUS new yarn.

9-12 YAYOI w/Marin- in either the SCARF or SHAWL projects - one is DK and one is fingering/ sport - it's Miss Bab's and her yarn is a heavy fingering IMO). Project teaches LIFTED LEANING INCREASES & A MODIFIED BUBBLE STITCH IN 2 colors.
9-12pm Beginning Spinning w/Crystal-Wheel and fiber provided. Email Lisa to sign up as space is limited.
12-1:30pm Lunch
2-5pm QUINN PILLOW w/Marin - this is a worsted (heavy DK) project. It is a pillow cover with Bobble or Button closure. Project teaches INTARSIA, PICKING UP STITCHES. I-CORD, BOBBLES.
4-5pm Crochet Amigurumi w/Jean, kits available @FFW
5-7:30pm Dinner

6:30-7:30pm Linoleum Dish Cloths w/Maryann-1 skein cotton yarn with matching needle
7:30-8:30 Soap Sack w/Betty-1 skein cotton yarn with matching needle

All day drop in and dye your skein of yarn w/AnneMarie
9-12pm BRIDGE TO BLISS SHAWLw/Marin - my newest design, knit it in Queensland Yarns - UNITED (wool/cotton) & BRIGHTON BEACH (Linen/cotton/acrylic) . I am having a sample worked up in URTH cotton. But this can be in other yarns too. Project teaches 1/2 PI-SHAWL construction with KFB INCREASES & SHORT ROWS (German).
9-12pm 2 Color Brioche Cowl w/Roberta-2 skeins Malabrigo Rios
11ish till after dinner Bobbing Boy-(Milissa and Alan Dewey) will be on hand with demos on Circular knitting.
12-1:30pm Lunch
1-3pm Finishing w/Crystal-Lecture
2-5pm SAND DOLLAR ROUND w/Marin- this is a BULKY COTTON (or other) project. It is roughly 52" in diameter. Project teaches CIRCULAR CONSTRUCTION, KNITTING IN THE ROUND, SIMPLE CHARTED LACE (also written)
